The Club brings together students interested in tech events that include hackathons and workshops, technical research and learning opportunities. The activities include summer Internships, roadshow, Incito, #Code, hands-on workshop on OpenCV and training on research paper writing. The club presently has 60 members, 12 mentors. Membership is open to students clearing the written exam and an interview conducted during the even semesters.
The club built prototype on “IOT for Emergency Vehicle Management” which was awarded and selected by a Venture Capitalist for funding. The Project prototype on “Virtual Glove for E-Commerce Applications” awarded the first prize with a cash award of Rs.2.5 Lakhs by the Digital India Hackathon 2016 in Gurgaon. Students who had carried out innovative projects in the lab including the summer internship projects secured internships at MITACS (Mathematics of Information Technology and Complex Systems), Canadian Government and iRISE, USA (Carnegie Mellon University). The Summer Internship-2015 and 2016 projects are continuing as a full time engagement for two healthcare projects with PES Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (DST Sponsored). Two students of the lab secured internship at IITs during Summer 2016 based on their Internship project in Summer’15. Ram Kashyap, one of the founder members of the lab set up two companies.
